Hoag Family Cancer Institute Recognition
• Ranked 12th among California hospitals in the 2012 U.S. News and World Report
• Received accreditation as a “Comprehensive Community Cancer Program” and received an Outstanding Achievement Award by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons
• Named one of the top 100 hospitals with a Great Oncology Program in the United States, and the only hospital in Orange County so named, by Becker’s Hospital Review
Hoag Heart and Vascular Institute Recognition
• The Society for Thoracic Surgeons ranked Hoag’s cardiovascular surgery program in the top 1 percent in the country for quality and successful outcomes; 3-star rating (the highest possible) achieved by only 12 percent of hospitals nationwide
• Ranked in the top 5 percent in the nation for Cardiac Surgery, three years in a row
• Rated 5 stars for valve surgery by an independent research firm, eight years in a row
• Recipient of the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines® Heart Failure Gold award for achieving an average score of 85 percent or greater in all five heart-failure achievement measures

• Hoag’s Stroke Program ranks among the top 5 percent in the nation and was chosen as a site for a NIH (National Institute of Health) clinical trial – a Hoag first
• Hoag hosted its third Annual Neurosciences Symposium

Women’s Health Institute Recognition
• Hoag Breast Care Center (HBCC) is the first and only breast care center in Orange County to be designated as a Certified Quality Breast CenterTM
• HBCC offers the latest in breast screening technology. Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (3D mammography) is at Hoag Hospital Newport Beach and Hoag Health Center – Irvine (Woodbridge)
• HBCC was the first center in Orange County to offer Tomosynthesis (3D Mammography), Oncoplastic Breast Surgery and Intraoperative Radiation Therapy (IORT)
• Designated as a Certified Baby-FriendlyTM Birth Facility
• Level IIIB Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
• Dedicated OB Services for perinatology, neonatology, OB Intensivist and OB Hospitalist/Laborist
